Scindie St Fleur

Scindie St Fleur is the lead researcher for PsykAyiti. With over ten years of experience (2014-2024) in mental health services in Haiti, working with populations with histories of complex trauma, her work focuses on applied research aimed at developing evidence-based interventions. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the State University of Haiti, where her master's thesis, which examined the psychological experiences of female survivors of sexual abuse, was awarded the highest distinction in 2021.
In 2022, she received the U-Great Scholarship from Universitas Indonesia. She subsequently received the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship (2024–2026) to pursue graduate studies in the United States. She is currently a master's student in social psychology at Ball State University, with two specializations in institutional research and public administration. She currently holds a research assistant position at the Voices Lab , under the supervision of Dr. Allison Cipriano, where she participates in mixed-methods research. In August 2024, she presented a scientific poster published at Syracuse University on the urgent need for education on the prevention of sexual violence in Haiti.
Scindie St Fleur is also a Global Ambassador for international students at Ball State University's Rinker Center, a role for which she received a certificate of recognition for her leadership in international education. Her passion lies in applied, action-oriented research, aiming to transform scientific findings into concrete interventions and public policy recommendations.
